If you’re taking the time to read this article, chances are you’ve taken our new website for a spin. We’re pretty excited about how it looks and the story it tells.

Our old site, if you remember, was a bit of a relic; we hadn’t updated the tech or content since our earliest days, working as a two person team from the kitchen of one of our homes. If you’re familiar with our story, and how quickly we’ve grown since then (two office upgrades and 8 staff), then you probably know that our website didn’t reflect where we were up to as a business!

We therefore decided to spend a few months developing a website that embodied where we are in our current story

  1. Supporting Our Staff:

We ask our recruiters to work hard and contribute to the business. Is it really fair to ask them to put in the hard yards if we’re not giving them the tools and brand umbrella as a support tool?

  1. Investing In Our Selves:

Investing the time and money in building an industry-leading website makes a statement to ourselves as business owners. It says that despite all of the success we’ve enjoyed so far, it’s not enough. We want to keep growing, keep improving.

  1. Making a Statement:

First impressions are key to securing the best talent and working with the best roles. We want our own website to mirror the ambition and standard of service we are looking for in talent. A quality service demands a quality business, whether that’s your website, your phone demeanor or your organizational skills.

  1. Betting on the Industry:

With every day there’s news that new companies are investing in technology in Australia. The opportunities and demand for quality tech jobs grows with every day. By investing in a top website for ourselves we’re backing the continued growth of tech jobs and our ability to be at the forefront of recruitment for those roles.

  1. Brand Pillars

Unless you actually take the time to consider your business and brand for a project like this, it’s easy to get caught up focusing on the work. For us, we live and breathe recruitment, so it’s only natural that we spend our days focusing on the process of finding and placing top talent. But producing the content and framework for a website forces you to consider where you’ve come from, and where you’d headed. What sort of staff do you want to attract? What are your goals, for growth and opportunity? What are the qualities that underpin your brand and business?  As you’ll read in this website, we have set up the framework for Motion to continue to grow and prosper in the coming months.
